Trimming Weight kit (5 x 2.5Kg weights) to suit Losmandy D-Rail

These weights are commonly used with Shibumi’s Twin-Saddle mount conversions to trim out payload differences between the ‘A’ and ‘B’ saddles. They can be used more generally to adjust balance in any telescope setup that uses Losmandy D-rails and has mounting space available. Each weight weighs 2.5Kg.

Weights are made from mild steel plate, and are primed then painted matt black using a stoved polyester powder coat. A integrally-machined flexurally mounted finger operated by an M8 setscrew is used to clamp the weight securely to the rail. Weights can be freely positioned along the D-rail as needed for balance.

This kit consists of five weights which can be linked togethr using the included tie-bar kit. This consists of two M6 threaded stainless steel tie-rod and stainless steel finishing knobs which clamp the weights together.
